Learn all the Egyptian Arabic verbs you need to speak fluently in every conversation.
In this lesson, Mariam will walk you through how to use question words in the Egyptian dialect.
Kam could also mean how much – like – how much is this ? bekam da ?
You’re right, I also knew بكم .
For how much, is the pronunciation just different than the spelling? I hear/see the transliteration as 2a but from the spelling I’d expect a q or qaaf sound.
The q sound is often replaced by a glottal stop (‘) in the urban areas of Egypt and of the Levant.
